Even though both the Roman and Egyptian Empires were strong and held for many years, they both eventually collapsed due to various reasons. The Egyptian empire fell to it's various debts and expenses along with Famine, disease and the influence of MAAT. Whereas the collapse of the Roman empire was mainly due to various issues surrounding the military, mostly due to a change in how one would acquire his citizenship.
The Egyptian Empire was a great mass civilization that fell due to various circumstances leading to it's demise. One of the major factors involved within the empire's collapse is centered around the Egyptian believe in MAAT, a centralized view that the world was made perfect just as it was, because this is how the Gods had made it; The gods will. This forbid any changes to the way in which Egyptians lived their lives, allowing no improvements, no advancements in technologies, only to be stuck in the current situations. They believed so deeply in the values imposed by MAAT, within the mass civilization, that they were not able to progress and keep up with times. However, this was furthered by an agricultural exhaustion and various climatic catastrophes that devastated the land and the production of their food. These events also lead into the famine and disease that ensued afterwards. The expenses of the Empire also influenced the collapse, which involved the expenses of the legal, political, religious, and social systems. This, in turn, was furthered by the costly wars that occurred to protect the empire, ultimately aiding in it's destruction. However, a secession of poor leadership within the empire also aided in the collapse and demise Egypt, something along the lines of what occurred in the Roman Empire.
Even though the roman empire was extensive in size, and had great strength, it ultimately fell due to its weakened army. In A.D. 212 Emperor Caracalla enfranchised all of the freeborn inhabitants of the Empire no matter their race, origin, creed, or mother tongue. This can be related back to the collapse of the Egyptian Empire, since a part of it's collapse was due to poor leadership. Even though his actions were meant to be a positive thing, they turned out to have horrific consequences to the enlistment into the army. This caused the enlistment rate for the army to decline, since no one had a reason to join because everyone had obtained their citizenship. This forced the army to lower their standards and search for soldiers outside of the empire allowing for Germanic barbarians to obtain high positions within the army. This allowed for invasions to become more frequent due to the barbarians finding a greater pleasure in pillaging rather than defending the empire.
Therefore, due to the various debts, inability to let go of the system of MAAT, and various Climatic Catastrophes along with famine lead to the collapse of the Egyptian Empire. However, poor military leadership caused by a decline of effectiveness of that military within the Roman Empire lead to it's collapse. Although when comparing the two, it can be seen that poor leadership was evident in both of the civilizations and aided in the collapse of them,
