...It's the name of a movie, It's the name of a sound, It's the name of something when you hit the ground.

In one's opinion, one would have to state that Leonardo was the better Renaissance man, this being due to his vast curiosity and his constant flow of ideas. Michelangelo was very influential at this time with his artworks, however, Leonardo would surpass him ever so slightly. This being true with their knowledge of human anatomy, where both would study corpses, defying the church itself, all in the name of furthering their works. Leonardo, however, was able to show in very detailed work, the complexity of the human body using his technique of painting the bodies from the bones outwards, showing his deep knowledge of anatomy. Leonardo was also constantly unable to finish many of his works, due to his curiosity which would give him amazing ideas to which he would write down and possibly sketch. Whereas Michelangelo had no problem finishing his works for his ideas were mainly confined to his artworks. Leonardo also furthered his study of anatomy by bring corpses into his workshop where he could study them further. He was able to rationalize his actions and be able to go against the church's wishes because he was not religious, a major contributor to the renaissance. He was able to question their ideas, but he was still found out and went to court under the criminal act of worshiping the dead.
