After carefull consideration, it was found that Diocletian was considered to be the best leader of the eight based upon the twelve characteristics. His position as the best leader was mostly due to his ablitly to prevent the collapse of the Roman empire and his knowledge that one man could not govern an entire empire. This brings upon his divsion of the empire into two parts and giving himself and his fellow leader a limited time frame for their leadership and by complying with his promise, proved to be a compitent and reliable leader. Although he he had a harsh control during his rein, he used that in order to better this empire, which ties him into being a very responsible leader and somewhat professional. Whereas his dedication to his work and position gave Diocletian the appearance of a leader full of integrity, in addition to being a strong worker who would split up his own ruling in order to better his own empire. Therefore, due to various leadership qualities that become appearant, Diocletian is ranked as the best leader of the eight. -------
Due to various aspects such as a complete lack of interest and irresponisible behaviours, Heliogabalus is seen as the worst leader of the chosen eight. This becomes apparent through his lack of contributions to the empire during his rein, his utter disregard for anyone elses needs and a major lack of experience. Various aspects of his lavious spending on personal items and having his meals served to him on a silver platter giving his the notion of being very selfish making him very irresponsible with his deuties as a leader of an empire. In addition, his lack of dedication to his work and his poor work ethics brought about a very poor image of him through the eyes of his subjects, thus showing his incabability to inspire his public causing no one to feel for his loss. Heliogablus also had a lack of professionalism caused by his placement of unqualified people into places of high office simply based off of favourites, ignoring their cability. Therefore, due to Heliogablus' lack of professionalism, lack of interest in his work and his selfish nature, he is considered to be the worst leader. -------------
Various Leadership qualities come to ones mind when discussing the atributes of a leader. A leader should have copious amounts of integrity to show that they know what they are doing and that they are doing what is the best option. However, a leader needs to be professional with his/her work to show that they are taking what they are doing seriously and showing that they are ready to take on the duties of a leader. A leader must also be a strong worker, as to show how they are not only ready to take on the tasks at hand, but that they are going to actually try and accomplish something. In addition, a leader must have some form of intelligence as to ensure that ideas can be formulated based upon the knowledge of the situations at hand, rather than what is the simplist, etc. However, a leader must show that they are willing to provide their empire, country, etc. with the most effort they can, being as selfless as possible, putting their extravagences to rest to work on issues. Which brings about another quality found in leaders, dedication, which shows that a leader is actually willing to be in their possition to complete the job at hand and work towards a goal, rather than not attempting any work at all. However, being able to problem slove in situations/being decisive also becomes apparent in great leaders, as to provide the best solution at the best solution based upon what is best for whom the leader is ruling over. Passion also becomes apparent in leaders who want to do what they are doing and thus a significant amount of effort/things being done can be seen, causing the very effectiveness of a leader. However, a leader needs to be able to enspire the masses to ensure that they are doing what is best and provide almost everyone with an effective solution, causing people to enjoy them as leaders. If a leader lacks responisiblity, then they are usually not very good leaders, those who do carry such qualities, however, are very effective in managing their work and what needs to be accomplished without being reckless. However, a leader who is not responsible is almost likely to be unexperienced as well, which can be a bad thing, seeing as an experienced leader will be knowledgable in what they are doing, so they will actually know what they are doing. Lastly, a leader should be loyal to his own subjects and their interests in a similar way that he would want them to be to him, as to ensure that the public can have trust in the leader. All of which provide an insight into the qualities that make up a leader.
